1,000 True Fans Will Make You Rich
Social Media Growth tips
Hey G,
Let me cut to the chase—when you start creating content on Instagram, Tik Tok or YouTube, a few things will happen:
You’re going to go viral (if you follow my framework).
And when it happens, it’ll feel amazing.
But here’s what no one tells you: going viral isn’t the ultimate goal.
Yes, in the beginning, we’ll focus on igniting your page—drawing eyeballs and driving people to your profile.
That’s why optimizing your profile is important—start with a clean bio, a professional profile picture, and some highlights before you begin posting.
But here’s the truth: once you’ve gone viral and built an audience, it’s not about chasing the next viral moment.
The real goal is depth.
The deeper your connection with your audience, the more impact you’ll create—and the more income you’ll generate.
Here’s how you build that depth:
Show your personality. Use Stories to let people see the real you.
Engage meaningfully. Respond to every comment and DM—start real conversations.
Provide real value. Offer something valuable (like a free resource) in exchange for their email.
Once you have their email, you’re no longer just a content creator—you’re building a community.
I’d rather have 10,000 email subscribers with a 40-50% open rate—people who truly like and trust me—than 500,000 Instagram followers who don’t truly care about me.
A friend of mine said hitting 100,000 email subscribers was his “set for life” moment.
Why?
Because no matter what happened, as long as he provided value, he knew he’d be able to make money.
This ties into the 1,000 True Fans Theory by Kevin Kelly:
If 1,000 people consistently buy your products, attend your events, or support your work, you’re set.
But none of this happens if you don’t go deeper with your audience.
Yes, going viral is important at the start—it’s how you get eyeballs and kickstart growth.
But don’t stop there.
Create for the audience you’ve built.
Show them they’re not just numbers on a screen.
Focus on relationships over reach.
Till next time!
